Instructional Design Technology has come a long way in the last few years and there is quite a bit of science to the art of creating quality online courses. Our Content design experts will help guide you on the path to creating your own content while giving you and your peers a place to share your own experiences and perhaps even your own content.
Instructional Design.... or Storytelling?
If you have to choose between learning instructional design or storytelling, believe it or not you are better off going with storytelling. Do you know why?
Because good storytellers engage learners. This doesn’t mean that you should opt out of learning instructional design. Just consider learning to be a better story teller. People remember good stories because they can relate to them and they can connect the course content to real life.
If you are new to e-learning and want some good resources, check out the following books:
(From Tom Kuhlman's rapid e-learning blog: http://www.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/5-simple-ways-to-get-started-with-e-learning-development/)
Thanx for the books. As a story-teller with a family history that encouraged story-telling as a way of transferring family history in a colorful way, I am encourged to learn that I can incorporate this talent into my online learning. I use it in the classroom, and now know that I can use it in E-L as well.
